About onlinealarmclock.co
Transparency, mission, and trust signals from a solo-founder time-tool site
Our mission
About onlinealarmclock.co: it makes dependable time-management tools available to anyone with a browser. No installs. No accounts. No friction between you and your task. Wake up on time. Focus for 25 minutes. Check the time somewhere else.
Most people don't need another app competing for a home-screen slot and a notification permission. They need a tool that opens in a tab. It does one thing well, then gets out of the way. That's the design brief behind every page on this site, built and maintained by Elif Aksoy.
Our tools
Nine tools, each built to do one job well:
Alarm Clock — a browser alarm with gentle wake and Screen Wake Lock. The tab stays awake until it fires.
Timer — a countdown for cooking, workouts, or focus blocks, with a live ring and tab-title countdown.
Stopwatch — centi-second lap timing with fastest/slowest highlighting.
Countdown — a shareable countdown to any future date or event.
Clock — a fullscreen digital or analog wall clock.
World Clock — side-by-side local times for cities around the world.
Date Calculator — the difference between two dates, or a date shifted by days, weeks, or months.
Age Calculator — your exact age in years, months, and days from a birthdate.
Pomodoro — 25/5 focus and break cycles with a simple task list.
Every one of them is free and runs entirely in your browser. Each works the same on phone, tablet, or desktop.
Privacy comes first
Every tool here runs entirely in your browser. Your alarm time, timer duration, lap splits, and city list stay in your device's local storage. Nothing goes to our servers. Nothing is tied to an account, because there is no account.
We don't track which tools you use. We don't sell data, because there isn't any to sell. Standard server-access logs are kept briefly for security, then rotated. That's the full extent of what touches a server at all.
Always free
There's no premium tier, no paywall, and no feature locked behind a signup. Every tool on this site is free today and will stay free.
That's not a promotional offer. It's the whole point of building tools that live in a browser tab. A browser tab doesn't need a subscription to justify its existence — unlike an app that does.
About onlinealarmclock.co: recovering from a Google ranking drop
This is about onlinealarmclock.co's recovery from a Google Helpful Content Update. In 2024, that update quietly buried several pages on this site, even ones with accurate tool instructions. Traffic fell for months before Elif Aksoy tracked down the cause. The problem was thin, templated text written for search engines, not for someone trying to set an alarm.
The fix took real rewriting, not a quick patch. Every page got rebuilt with genuine methodology sections, honest word counts, and links that lead somewhere useful. Duplicate boilerplate was deleted instead of reworded. Pages with nothing new to say were merged or removed outright.
Recovery took roughly two quarters of steady, unglamorous editing. There were no shortcuts, no purchased links, and no AI filler swapped in for older AI filler. What came back was a smaller site that says more per page. That's why this page keeps expanding with real content instead of padding.
About onlinealarmclock.co's privacy-first design
Privacy-first isn't a badge on this site — it's a set of concrete decisions made before any code shipped. There's no login system, so there's no password database to leak. There's no analytics pixel tracking individual visitors between pages.
Every tool's state — your alarm time, your Pomodoro task list, your saved cities — lives in the browser's own local storage. It stays on your device, under your control. Clearing your browser data clears it completely. There's no server copy left behind to delete separately.
This approach borrows from the privacy-by-design principle used in EU data protection law. The idea: minimize data collection by default, instead of collecting first and asking permission later. Read more about the concept on Wikipedia's privacy-by-design overview.
About onlinealarmclock.co: how it runs, and how it stays free
onlinealarmclock.co is built and maintained by one person, Elif Aksoy — not a company or an agency. There's no editorial team, no outsourced content mill, and no ad-sales department. It's one person writing, coding, and fixing bugs.
"Always free" means something specific here. No tool will ever move behind a paywall. No existing feature will ever be stripped out to upsell a paid tier. The site earns nothing directly from visitors today — it exists because building useful, honest tools is worth doing on its own.
That also means updates happen in bursts, on one person's schedule, not a shift-covered support desk. Bug reports and feedback go through the Contact page. Elif Aksoy reads each one personally — nothing routes through a ticketing system first.
