What This Cookie Policy Covers

This cookie policy explains what cookies onlinealarmclock.co uses and why. Cookies are small text files a website can store in a browser. The browser sends them back on later visits. onlinealarmclock.co also uses localStorage. It's a similar but larger-capacity storage mechanism. Unlike cookies, localStorage is never sent to a server automatically. It stays on the visitor's device unless the page reads it. See MDN's cookies explainer for the technical details.

Cookies We Use

Exactly one functional cookie is used: NEXT_LOCALE. It remembers whether a visitor prefers English or Turkish. The choice doesn't need re-selecting on every visit. It contains no personal information and expires automatically.

Everything else is stored in localStorage, not cookies. This includes alarms, timer and countdown settings, the chosen alarm sound, theme (light/dark), and the world clock city list. None of it ever leaves the visitor's device.

Third-Party Cookies

By default, no third-party or advertising cookies are set on this site. The site operator can enable an optional analytics provider in the admin settings. Examples include Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, or Plausible. That provider may then set its own cookies under its own policy. This is off unless explicitly turned on. This page will be updated if that ever changes. See the full Privacy Policy for how any such data would be handled.

Managing Cookies

Cookies can be deleted or blocked anytime through browser settings. Look for "Privacy" or "Cookies" in the browser's preferences. Blocking the NEXT_LOCALE cookie won't break any tool. It just means the site re-detects the preferred language on each visit. Clearing the browser's localStorage resets saved alarms, timer presets, and preferences to defaults.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Tracking or advertising cookies aren't run by default here. So there's nothing meaningful for DNT to change on this site. The spirit of the signal is respected regardless. No cross-site tracking profiles are built.
